Warm soil

Managed to get to the allotment on Saturday and put a couple of cloches up to warm the soil. I’ve done it on the bed I’m going to put the peas in. It worked last year and we got a crop at least two weeks earlier than the bed that didn’t have the protection. I know it’s bad practice but I’m going to use the same bed as last year for the peas; I really must move them next year though.
